President Tim O’Brien informed us that Auburn’s “Thunder in The Sky” is scheduled to take place this year on July 7, 2012. Mark your calendars!

John Pitchitino showed an interview that he filmed of one of GEFA’s previous scholarship recipients, Jessica Kraemer. She is currently attending The University of North Dakota’s Aviation Department.

Our guest Bill Sommers gave a presentation on his journey Around the USA in his 1985 Piper Warrior. Bill prepared printouts for all of us with his route, complete with maps and the costs involved of his latest adventure. He had an excellent slide show prepared that was presented by his assistant Keith Thomassen who provided his iMac computer and projector. The pictures were beautiful which would lead you to believe he had good weather the entire trip. Of course, this was not the case and Bill was forced to spend more time than he wanted in various locations. When he reached the east coast the weather was marginal for quite some distance. Since he arrived home safely it was indeed a good trip and an exciting adventure. The presentation was followed by questions and answers.

There are no upcoming fly-outs scheduled at this time. Ideas are welcome.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 PM.

Respectfully submitted by Katie Guilliat in the absence of Secretary, Chris Evans.
